Sorry not to get back guys, I've been v. busy. I have been doing a lot of thinking about my next car, as I tend not to change them too often (Mk1 RS2000 9 years, 3-door Cosworth 11 years, current STi IV 5 years), so I thought that before I committed myself I to a WR1 I would try out a Spec C to see if I could live with it, and also compare it with a Jap Spec STi, so that's what I'm doing this weekend. Had a good quote on insurance for the WR1 -

That's where I am at the moment, I've enjoyed my STi IV for the last 5 years, and now want to update it. The WR1 has (nearly) all the toys, cheap insurance etc, but I need to find out whether I need to go to a Jap Spec to get the raw feel of my current car. There are a couple of private WR1s around at the moment, but one thing that makes me stop and think is why they are starting to change hands already. Some are on their third owner, and being sold (I know that the garage was probably the first owner, but even so)......

Speaking personally i can say that the car itself is fine. I still smile everytime i open the garage door in the morning! I am starting to think about getting ride of mine but going for something boring for a few years. The Origin B2 in mine has recorded my average speed for the last 3 weeks. 17mph It's really not getting the use it was designed for or i should be giving it, i do too much town driving to be able to use it properly. I might as well be driving a diesel! It'd be a LOT cheaper. I think i've got some thinking to do!

17 mph is quite good really, considering that Nathan L says that whenever you're behind him you just seem to get smaller in his mirror all the time And that you're driving around a town where the average age is so high, you can't drive too quickly 'cos it'll cause a mass heart attack
