Mud FlapsI have just been told the genuine STI mudflaps are
Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools talk, because they have to say something.

From subaru website.
Front Black Prodrive Mudflaps Helps To Protect The Bodywork From Flying Stones And Reduce Road Spray In Wet Weather. Supplied In Pairs (4 Door Models Only Part No. SACC2592 Ant,
Had an my99 uk classic, Then got P1 (0329), Then got a brand new WR1 (092), Then got a my00 UK Classic, Then got another P1 (0488), Now Sold.
Got the Prodrive flaps this week (see pics in the General Scooby Chat - tread "They have arrived !").
I got 'em in blue for about 100 GBP a pair from Monks in Macclesfield. I understand most dealers will give you a discount when ordering parts. I been told there are many non-standard items around. The key reason I chose for the genuine item, is because I hope these will withstand better the extreme conditions here (TBC). Non-Subaru ones might be mainly tested in a UK environment.

Re: Mud Flaps
Can you explain, Joy ? In which way was the quality better ? Thicker ? Not braking as easily ? Thanks
compared to the prodrive ones, a lot thicker, just seemed a better flap in my opinion, and there blue was a very close match to the car as well
I had the Prodrive ones. Seemed ok if dear for what they were. My dealer fitted them for free.
Too petty to be a traffic warden...
Rear ones are on. Pretty easy in fact. Didn't even use a jack or anything.
Nearly froze my hands off though so the front ones will be for tomorrow (bugger all to do in the town anyway, so I can as well make the pleasure last for the whole weekend). I do admit I'd been cleaning the engine and washing the car first. Hence the cold hands
