how too value a wr1i am having a spot off bother some twat crashed into my wr1 insurance saying total loss cat d offering 7k that carnt be right how can i value my car was very good condition 77k
Re: how too value a wr1
I think they are offering trade value for the car, not the purchase price from a dealer or private sale. Tell the insurance company to go and buy you another WR1 with what they are offering and to contact you when they have found one
Dont forget these are limited numbers, can only go up in value or stay at one price for a time... If they cant find one for less than 9.5k then theres your answer
Prices for WR1, these prices are only a guide to the value.
04/53 retail £9125 trade in £7350 67000 miles 04 " £9575 " £7800 66000 miles 54 " £9900 " £8125 63000 miles 05/54 " £10500 " £ 8700 61000 miles 05 " £10925 " £9125 60000 miles
defo a min of 8 on a PX, but you couldn't find one for that to buy so i'd say 9 to 10 k from insurers
I'd agree with that estimate. In the current market you would pay £8.5-9k for one with that kind of mileage. L
Insurers always pay out rock bottom "book" value rather than reality. You can sometimes negotiate a little leeway but not normally much. Id expect 8k from an insurer if they were going for 9-10k.
