WR1 Standard Stereo QuestionThis is a long shot, as we're way past this stage now, but when using the cassette (perhaps to listen to East 17 or Hanson ) I can forward and rewind with no problems at all, but how do you actually play the damn thing without having to eject the cassette and put it back in?
I cant find a play button to use after the rewind or forward 2004 RB Renault Clio 182 (Coilovers running Mark Fish setup)
What a brilliant, original question!! Funnily enough, the 1.5R has the same audio set-up (ahem!). I must have a look tomorrow
I had that stero the whole time I had my wr1, and have the same stereo in my STi, and I have NEVER tried to use a tape!! I hate the stereo and really must change it but simply cant afford to for a looong time now i think.
Does this mean you are being inhibited by red tape?
im still 'd that someone is using a TAPE... Should i get my ZX Spectrum out too so you can have that for the back passengers instead of a PS2?
I think you just have to tap the opposite buttom to play it again
Crap stereo....was one of the first things I replaced, touch screen double din looks far more
When i picked my car up, my missus was fiddling about with the stereo, and found a learn to speak Spanish tape in it, she wondered if the Stig ever owned my car!
think you just press the tape button, press it again for auto reverse i think, i'll have to find some of my happy hardcore tapes out and give em a blast
You would be amazed how good a tape can sound when played on a Nakimichi Dragon or 1000ZXL !
Yer i bet... and when you want to play a song at the end of the tape you have to wait 10mins to FFwd the thing...
I remember the days when you used to have to turn the tape over when it reached the end. I wonder if the scoob default radio plays to the end then auto reverses the tape and plays side b too.. tshh i cant believe u lot have got me wanting to try a tape in my head unit... its nearly the weekend - must resist!!
Anyway at the other end of the scale we have people changing IPods with 60GB storage for 80GB storage or higher these days. I mean how is anyone ever going to listen to that much music in their whole ownership of a car i will never know... Stick with CD's... at least when theyre old n scratched you can frizbee them at someone/thing...
I normally use CD's, and in my previous cars MP3's or DVD discs (depending on the headunit) but just thought I'd ask as I found some VERY old tapes and they were worth a blast from the past.
Will try the Tape button thing tomorrow! Cheers 2004 RB Renault Clio 182 (Coilovers running Mark Fish setup)
ha ha..and to save the batteries on my walkman I used to stick the tape on a biro and spin it around!!
crikey....thank christ those days are over!
The last tape i brought was Mel & Kim in the eighties, the first cd I had when Debbie Gibson....."only in my dreams" and I did several times
