WOW that good for a standard WR1 THE WR1 RR DVD http://www.scoobycity.co.uk/wr1/phpBB2/ ... highlight=
Very good bhp. Everyones torque figures seemed a bit low. What should they have?
Too petty to be a traffic warden...
not bad results for me
311.2bhp@6281 290.8@4399 like to know why results differ so much.still like more torque though!!
How did peoples results compare with those they got in September?
Too petty to be a traffic warden...
These are the scores from Sumo,
308.2BHP @ 6390 rpm, 264.7lbft @ 5073 rpm. unfortunately I cant find my old results but mine was the worst at 290 HP I think. What varied a lot today was the revs at which the max power and torque figures where attained, there was no set pattern so it would seem that mapping may be a very hit and miss art. Cheers, Sumo Number 12 back with me after a 6 year break.
These are my results:
304.5 bhp/7038 rpm and 263.6 lbft/5742 rpm Think my run was the lowest or one of the lowest Still it was better than my run at Power Engineering Had a good day out and was nice to put some names to faces aswell Cheers Paul
Mine were 310.3bhp @ 6006 rpm
and 277.9lbs @ 5446 rpm so about the average I guess. However, maybe we all should be concerned that all our cars are well below the published torque figures? Blobster (De-frosted by Colchester) Ex owner. Now in an Ariel Atom 3 300.

Agree with above comment from Blobster about torque figures, not one managed to get near the 310 figure. Mine made 314.3 bhp / 6960 rpm and 264.3lbft / 5927 rpm Enjoyed the trip and good to put faces to names Dave
Here are my results im satisfied but not over the moon as i would expect to see these sought of figures as promissed by published subaru figures but still torque figs are less than expected for every one.
318 BHP @ 6777 292.4 lbft @ 5222 Always try and get to B from A very Quickly !
Step aside, let the daddy through!
332.9 bhp @ 5841 rpm 307.7 lbft @ 5369 rpm Had a problem on the rollers but Bob Rawle has checked it out and everything is ok.
Congrats Jaycee... Paint job may give an extra 10 bhp and the haircut will help too.
So,
Ant 322.3bhp @ 6384rpm 277.4lbft @ 5372rpm Mr Optimax 311.2bhp @ 6281rpm 290.8lbft @ 4399rpm Sumo 308.2bhp @ 6390rpm 264.7lbft @ 5073rpm Farls 304.5bhp @ 7038rpm 263.6lbft @ 5742rpm Blobster 310.3bhp @ 6006rpm 277.9lbft @ 5446rpm Dave 314.3bhp @ 6960rpm 264.3lbft @ 5927rpm Woza 318bhp @ 6777rpm 292.4lbft @ 5222rpm Average 312.7bhp @ 6548rpm 275.87 @ 5311rpm As an average I would have expected to get a higher figure giving that the air was 3 or 4 degrees, so I for one are dissapointed with the figures, What does everyone else think ??? Sumo. Number 12 back with me after a 6 year break.
Where horsepower is x by rpm, is this the rpm on the graph, I think mine was about 5300 without looking (assuming you mean the torque rpm) or is there a different figure?
Why divide by 5252? What is the significance? Using your formula gives me approx 312 bhp. I shall now go and look at my graph and report back!
It seems like all the WR1's have Torque levesl around the 270llb mark ... this is significantly under what it should be and what we purchased these cars believing they had. 5-10 llb either way and I wouldn't really be bothered but over 30 is a joke. Perhaps a letter to Subaru asking for an explanation would be in order?? Views/Comments????
i'd like to hear mikes thoughts on this topic too.
well done was it worth is after all the shit? Why you stalking me cuz you don't even drive a Subaru?
All I know is that I'm getting my WR1 rr'd in a few weeks time ... if the torque is not at a satisfactory level (i.e. down or up by no more than 10) then Subaru / whoever is responsible for this car will be getting some correspondence asking for an explanation. I'm actually going to dyno the beast at two reputable places to ensure that the accuracy of the rr argument can't be used as an explanation to me. I think that it is only fair we get a proper explanation as all I;ve seen from dynos of the WR1 is that the torque figures are way way below what was quoted when I bought the car. For
Maybe organise another group event and present Subaru with many results? More voices get bigger ears if you ask me?
nine or so cars were tested the weekend surely that explains enough....
did i win for most torque?????
