That's rather poor service. Off hand i can't remember when i got my letter, although i think it was the same time as most people. From memory the dealer rang me to ask when i'd like to take it in and i had it done on the morning of our Prodrive trip.
Too petty to be a traffic warden...
don't worry brian you are not on your own, i am still waiting for mine to get to the garage, they are supposed to be ringing me when they come.
I got the letter and rang my dealer. They asked when I wanted to come in. They said I couldn't come the next morning as they needed to order the parts and couldn't order them until the car was booked in, they'd then not arrive until the next morning. So I rang on Wednesday lunchtime, booked it in and they ordered the parts Wednesday afternoon, the parts arrived at the dealer Thursday and I was in first thing on Friday morning.
Sounds like you need a new dealer.
It still amazes me how the quality of service differs from dealer to dealer.
I'm not that happy with my dealership but I phoned them and booked the car in the following week, allowing time for the parts to arrive. Job done. I certainly wouldn't wait for mine to phone me back because they rarely do. I have to chase for everything. I'd give them a call and find out why it's taking so long.
Im fed up with dealers now...
From the outstart of Ordering The WR1, having to cancel it, and then ordering it from another dealer. Being messed about regarding Delivery... And now my Local Dealer, not rining back, They Know me ! I would like to see how long this will take... maybe they will never ring me ? THE WR1 RR DVD http://www.scoobycity.co.uk/wr1/phpBB2/ ... highlight=
Hi Bri.
Haven`t even got my letter yet! So phoned dealer ( Milton Keynes ) they ordered the parts, 48 hrs later they were fitted in 20mins! And if it wasn`t for this site I`d still be none the wiser as to the hose problem!
Had my letter booked in for service week after receiving the letter and had it done together. So the parts only took 1 week to order.
just phoned up subaru, spoke to technical support guy, can not understand why garage has not got them yet, got plenty of hoses in stock, all they need to do is contact them and they would be sent to them that day so why is it they have been telling me for the last 6 weeks they are having trouble getting them
just got phoned back by subaru, problem was there's, computer problem, hoses despatched today to garage, so should have them fitted by next week, and here i was starting to blame the garage every time i went in just goes to show never jump to conclusion's
Good ole computers, get the blame for everything, Not had my letter from Subaru YET, dealer got hoses because I mentioned it to them after reading about it on here, HOW MANY others with WR1s that havnt been contacted and dont come on here??? Dave

just came back, hoses now replaced at long last, the hoses were really badly split in the places that you could not see just makes you wander if all the sti's will have this problem if they have ppp fitted, the mechanics just could not beleive how badly worn they where
hoses all changed,
took a little over 1/2 hr as they had to wait for it to cool down. so they lent me a little pocket rocket to go about my business for a hour or so, Good one guys THey also have started to sell ISUZU !! THE WR1 RR DVD http://www.scoobycity.co.uk/wr1/phpBB2/ ... highlight=
I was unlucky but got a resultI brought the WR1 and within an hour of giving it a good testing the engine suddenly coughed quite violently I thought I had blown it up, the dash light came on and I limped it home. Subsequent attempts at going a bit cause the same kind of thing at 6500 rpm, then 4500 but it was fine driving in sensible mode.
Got the Mrs to drop it into the garage next day with no warning. They changed the pipes and I collected it after work. That may just be the only time she ever drives it, and I said to her it was seriously ill so no more than 3500 rpm!!
I didn't give a sh1t.... I just wanted my car back!
