Unofficial Yorshire Rally 2004What a EPIC Rally.
The roads shown in the pics were made for the WR1 ! The WR1s simply carved up the roads, Dry roads, Damp, Mud, Leaves. Dense Fog (in the High lands) !!! This event goes down into the history books - Hats off to JWS 700 miles added to the WR1 on this event Here are the Pics. We met up early Sunday Morning. People just waved us by !!! or were they waving to Slow down ? Stopping for Breakfast at a Secret Location in the Dales 3....2.....1..... GO ! That was all the pics i took as the next stage needed 2 hands on the steering wheel at all times **Disclaimer** -WR1oc does not condone speeding on the public highway. Unless you're getting chased by the law! Last edited by Brian on Mon Nov 15, 2004 9:53 am, edited 9 times in total.

Great pics Brian!
And great quotes! I wondered about the one-way roads as well, until I met something coming the other way!!
Nice photos Brian, knowing what the roads were like and the fact you were on your own I will give you 10/10 for those.
Didnt know you could get hands free kits for cameras Dave
looks like you all had a great day !
you'll have to let me know where some of these nice roads are because I'm planning a bit of a 'road trip' with one of mates up to Scotland next year. Gonna visit some friends scattered all over the Uk and go via some nice WR1 friendly roads in Yorkshire and the Highlands.
great pics, went on the midlands 12th sept derbyshire trip, a real eye opener to all the great scenery, but the roads oh my god, boulders falling all around you, it was something out of a computer game avoiding all the sheep and cattle but would'nt hesitate going on another one , all those wr1s awseome
Looks like you all had a great day on Sunday. What a sight - all those Scoobies. I expect you all obeyed that notice painted on the wall opposite the traffic lights, didn't you Shame we couldn't have been there, but we'll try for the next day out.
lol, i missed that when i looked at the photos earlier!
LOL i had to wait and go over the bridge on my own

Nice pics Brian, you captured the days events well so we can all remember what fantastic scenery we missed whilst our eyes were glued on the scooby's brake lights in front!
Thinking back now the day was a blur, lots of moments (very near moments at that). We have all thanked JWS for organising such a fantastic run but i would like to personaly thank the bloke who came into the cafe who warned us that it would be a good idea to purchase parking tickets as little hitler was on the prowell taking details ' just bobbed into the caf to get some change gov 'classic! Cheers mate. Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools talk, because they have to say something.
