I went to a preview of the Tribecca today. Due to the near total lack of interest in it i was offered, and gladly took, a short 5 mile test drive in it. The reversing camera is a handy feature. The interia seemed to lack some quality when compaired to it's rivals. The thirst of the thing scared me! I accelerated off a roundabout, not pushing it too much (honest) and the on board computer dropped from a poor 18.9 mpg to a very poor 18.4 mpg. The 6 cylinder 3.0 Boxer engine souned good but didn't pin you into the seat. I'm also not too sure who or what could fit into or access seats 6 and 7.

We're off to the Subaru garage next month for my other half to drive the Trebeca and to have a go in the Legacy. The new (MY07) Legacy is out in a few months, so no real rush, although i will miss the free fuel offer.

Just got back from driving the Touareg 5.0 V10. I have to say i prefered the 3.0 TDI. I scrolled through the driver information screen to see an average fuel consumption figure of 16.2 mpg.
