Who'd be up for a few days in Europe at an F1 race next year? (providing ''big'' bernie doesn't scrap them all) Doesn't have to involve taking our cars if you don't want to, we can use hire cars ! Spain is a good one as the nightlife is excellent, Barcelona is a beautiful city and all amenities are close by. Comments please..... Jason

I can recommend Spain for a European GP, we have been for the last 5 years, far easier to get to than the 2 German ones, better viewing also. As for accomodation most GP fans stay at Calella or Lorrett and do the Barcelona bit by train (driving in the city is a nightmare) If you get your tickets early they are discounted (3 day ticket)
The German ones, we found were better by driving there and staying on the camp sites around the circuit, party atmosphere and cheap beer.
If the British manages to get a reprieve how about a trip there, one campsite will let you prebook a pitch for however many cars/tents you want.

I stayed in Calella for last years rally, not much happens there! Found a good bar and a chinese restaurant though. I regularly go to Barcelona for nights out, hop on a plane at Leeds Bradford for

Taking cars or flying? Knowing how they drive, I'd rather hire a car to play dodgems in! Cheap flights from most airports to Barcelona, cheap(ish) hotel, I like a bit of quality!!

Flying and picking up a hire car once we're there sounds like a good idea. If we pick one UK airport to go from we can all go on the same flight. Might be an idea to poll everyone how's going to find the best one. I don't do "cheap" when it comes to hotels!

That's what I meant but thought it might alienate people!! Luxury all the way! Apart from the cheap flights! Birmingham will probably be central for everybody. Considering it's in the middle of the country!!

That's fine by me. We can either fly up from Gatwick or stay at the mother in laws in Beaconsfield and get them to drive us up to the airport. Probably be Gatwick, that way i get to fly more!!!

1.Jason 2. Chris
It won't be THAT expensive so if we plan now, as soon as the prices are released we'll know how many tickets we need and will get the best seats etc.
