That was me. Don't understand why I suddenly show up as a "guest".
the file is a quicktime file ... the guy who took the vid and this weird camera that compresses stuff into quicktime files. so if you don't have quicktime you won't be able to view it. I'm pretty sure you can download it for free though.
Will still email the files this evening. might even be able to zip up quicktime.

OK, thanks. When is it ? I might work in UK end August and September.
Damn. I was going to drive down next Thursday and pushed it back to Sunday. Back to the subject in fact: Are there any ex-Evo drivers amongst the WR1 crowd on this forum ? What's their opinion ?
Good point we are all for the scoob
Id like another drive, Maybe a 24h test drive would give a better outcome. Joseph
No Evo Drivers.
Torrekens do you want to go halves on an Evo so we can thrash about in both for a while. This may feed any curiosity that we have, may even be good advice for others. Joseph
Peterborough ? Ok
I tried to follow D3aves rout on the map from our Yorkshire BIG ONE but i ended up in Cornwall, well planned rout. Joseph
Sounds like the day my geographer-buddy (MSc !) fell asleep on the road between Stourbridge and Dover. He only woke up when I said "Weird name for a town... EXETER !" . (we missed the ferry) Sounds cool to trash an Evo. Only ones I drove was a test car when I got the scoob (the traffic jams around Oxford didn't make a great testing ground) and the ex Ralliart Evo 6 Gr.A I drove when I got married. (wasn't allowed to trash that either. The guy filming the wedding was a policeman...)
Which one: 1. The Geographer 2. The Mitsu Salesman who only sent me along jammed roads 3. The cameraman(/policeman) who followed us everywhere
Not quite sure my wife would have appreciated either if I took the thing to the limits.
They had taken the 34mm restrictor off ("to not strain the engine unnecessary"...) and the thing went like nothing I've ever driven (it had around 350bhp WITH the restrictor !). Standing start on dry concrete still meant all 4 wheels would spin easily. Nicest bit was the faces of the people in the villages we drove through. The thing made an incredible amount of noise, especially when driving slow as the bang-bang system would cut in every time I got my foot of the gas.
I like this car more and more every day.......
