any body got anything for shifting REALLY baked on brake dust?
(John - Angle grinder, chisel, belt sander, orbital sander, jack hammer etc... will be the next option mate)
Went through 3 bottles of the usual Meg's brake cleaner stuff and a bag full of foam pads - but that crap is still on there! About 2 inch wide all around the inner part of the rim. My arms are killing me!
Any trick's or tips? Its got to come off somehow! Concrete cleaner? Petrol?

Have you tried claying? (Household brick if you like, but failing that using an agressive clay such as 'Meguires detailing clay soaked in Stella'?)

Will try track that down...bit hard over here to find stuff like that in the shops, so a quick tinternet order is the only option really.
Polished Bliss don't seem to sell it, but do have this 'Wolf's Chemicals Decon Gel' thats seems to do the same job?
Anybody used that?

Sorry, I got confused. I've not tried Iron X but I have used the Wolf's Nano wheel cleaner. Awesome stuff.
This might be worth a quick read?

Seems to do the job....but out of stock at PB.
Will be getting that as soon as they get some in...then the summer wheels can finally go back on.
Cheers boys, top work as ever - hopefully my turn to post up some clean shots soon.

Man o man! If you let your wheels get that dirty which everyone can see... It makes me wonder about the state of your pants.

indeed, but with the recent tips by our resident dogger I have finally managed to crack them off with the jack hammer. Orbital sander and 80 grit up next...

You could spend a fortune on cleaning products or £50 refurbing the wheel... only problem is you would need to do them all really or at least both on the same side of the car lol.

Yeah the winter set are being sent away for a re-furb... might even go for black seeing the set done on here lately.
Pretty sure here though, the pants will defo have to come off as well as handing over you entire wallet. Good job I cracked them off the other day then...
Everywhere seems to be sold out, so have mailed Wolf directly... be snowing again by the time I get them fitted!
