surely this is a simple one. if the poster states (which he does) he has proof then let it be provided, its it is provided (not even in public forum) to one of the mods/admins then if it is certified the register can be updated.
failing that, i just dont see why this thread is being entertained.
the information is there, its on the register and until proven otherwise, it is the WR1 Gospel,
Amen !

Why anyone would want to buy a car suspected of being clocked is beyond me especially when there are several others on the market, similar condition, same price. Expect it is being sold off very cheap due to the mileage issues.
If servicing has been kept up to date surely Subaru UK will have a list on their computer of the service dates, mileages etc. As I suspect its all too easy to order a copy of a service book which can be re-ordered and stamped conveniently. Most dealers are more than happy to tell you history on the cars they have serviced in the past. If it doesnt have full subaru service history then that is something else that will put off a potential buyer. Especially one that already suspects it has been clocked!
Don't be afraid to come to some meets, we don't bite... although John might have his wicked way with you given half a chance

Okay, to throw my tuppence in, if money was no object why did he buy this car? At the same time he would have bought this there was a 500 mile WR1 for £20k up for sale.........why didn't he buy this? Also for £9750 that is a lot of money, there are other WR1's out there for a little bit more money with half the mileage and with no dubious history.
Not slating you for buying this car.....well I am, I think you'd be a mug to buy it.

reading this thread you would have to be indeed fooking mental to go near this car as when you sell it, a reasonable purchaser will read the threads about it and steer well clear. And why have you had to do all the leg work proving to "yourself" that all the paperwork is legit surely you should be using this to get a real bargain from the seller??? and not paying that for it? Not convinced at all myself and generally, with me anyway, when there is doubt i walk away. and i buy a fair few cars.
Gracing the drive.....BMW M3 E92 with all the toys!/Integra DC5/ Integra DC2 race car/BMW X5 gone...Impreza RB320 No 112 gone...Impreza WR1 No 84 gone...Civic Type R EP3 gone...Seat Leon Cupra 225 gone...Civic Type R EP3 gone...(shed with weels)
