No you're definitely not alone- I was explaining to my young son recently that not many years ago when you wanted to share some news you either telephoned someone or even went and met them!

Its now socially unacceptable not to have a facebook or twitter account. You go to the pub now and its full of people on their phones updating status instead of chatting... bonkers really..
anyway gotta go, need to update my FB status

all well n good having a billion friends, but are they really? Rather just keep in contact with a few good friends...the rest are just nosey bastards that I would rather not share my life with.

Exactly! when folk ask me am i on facebook & i say no the look you get from them Bumped into an old mate and he spent more time trying to persuade me to join FB than catching up! Another example is i was in Boots picking up Jacqui's prescriptions and there was a lassie in her 20's infront of me in the queue on her stupid iphone on facebook, when it was her turn the pharmacist was trying to talk to her and the lassie never stopped surfing FB and hardly even looked up from her phone the whole time she was being served! HOW F'ING RUDE IS THAT!

A new Facebook app is coming out that will remind users exactly what they were doing a year ago from that day. Nine times out of 10, the answer will be 'wasting your time on Facebook.'

& as rude as you southern guys always having the meets in england It would take me over 3hrs and nearly a tank & a half of fuel just to get to Foleys. My 1's never been south of the border, When i go to my bro's in Warrington i hire a diesel. I know you rack up the miles as your hardly central either. ps i've the best scoob roads in the uk on my doorstep so why travel to the land of motorways but i would like to visit your area Martin, looks nice down there

Ours has been north of the border, so some of us southerners have visited Scotland, even Bro has aswell.
Plus lets not forget Fraser tried to organise a trip to Scotland where southerners were the only name on the list

See, I thought FB was for posting seemingly incomprehensible collections of consonants (ROFLMFAO?), lightly veiled threats and insinuations and random pointless song lyrics. Oh, and for letting the world know how much better than everyone elses your kids are.
Jesus... I need some new friends!
