Hello people, just wanting to introduce myself as a new bee,
how i came about getting a WR1, started looking at the WRX this wasn't fast enough, then checked out an STI Pro-drive which was ideal but just wanted something a little more special, thats when i discovered the WR1 as not many people have them so this was perfect. so here i am the proud owner of no 145 and i bloody love it, cant get out of it and spending far too much on fueljavascript:emoticon(':?') but its well worth the cost.javascript:emoticon(':P')
was just wondering if people still arrange meets on here?
Anyway nice to meet you Julian 145.

Hello and welcome to the club.
Your story of how you come to buy a WR1 sounds similar to mine

Welcome along Always good to hear folks journey of how they ended up in driving seat of a wr1 Oh and you mentioned how thirsty are they? ermmmm......... errrrrrrrrrrrr.......... well............ Quite thirsty bud usual miles for a tank is 200-250 and a lot less if you heavy right foot everywhere you go or on track. Now you have a wr1 you have to forget all about miles per gallon the wr1 works differently it goes by the measurement "SPG" thats "Smiles Per Gallon" Enjoy Gee

Er, how are you managing 200-250 miles on a tank? Even driving like my mum I can't get 200 from a fill up! I reckon I must be doing about 55-60 SPG tho...
There are no stupid questions, only stupid people.

Your Mum must be a fast driver then as you should be able to get 200 na bother from a tank. Believe me i don't hang about driving mine, to many quality b roads up here to dawdle about Do you mostly town driving? lots of start/stop? that lowers mpg, i don't do much town driving living in the countryside. On track i've had well under 100mpg nearer 50

and a welcome from me too Julian.
Events :
Better look to see if all the 25 WR1 places have now been taken on the McRae Gathering of Limited Editions stand, 5th June. It's being held @ Prodrive, Banbury. You could still attend anyway. Meet the pack ! It's open to everyone.
Go see...........

Hi thanks for the concern, i started to worry when i saw this, looks as though its in Pakistan, but the date on the picks are 2008 i have all the documents and old mot form 2006 onwards and loads of UK service history so find it very hard to believe this is my car, i also have the original receipt of purchase. Im confused ???????????
do you think this could be a replica. also mine is totally standard all original and still has the badge in the inside of the car???

IF there isn't a thread for this McRae Gathering, you could simply ask our members if anyone is going.
