After almost a month since selling my 1 I finally got a replacment.
I had originally planned to get a Evo 8 MR however finding a standard un-abused model was proving a little difficult so then I test drove and M3 and then was it I had to have one.
My love affair for Jap is not over at all, I will have an Evo next but for now Im more than happy!!
SO YES YET ANOTHER BMW SELL OUT.... I apologise lol

Sheilas Wheels do good insurance quotes on these, apparently
How do you find it compared to the 1?

lol....
Well with the SPORT button pressed I find it amazing its keen to go and no lag at all unlike the 1, it really does wind on well, not explosive like with a Impreza but you get there not that much slower and you dont even notice you are doing high speeds if you know what I mean, it doesnt seem as fast even though the speedo indicates it is.
Also loving all the toys.
I love the sound too, granted its not a flat 4 rumble (which I miss loads) but a very metallicy sound to it indeed, turns quite a few heads on full chat.
The only negative thing is you can tell its an heavy car - handling not too comprimised and steering very well weighted but you can tell its a fat ass lol
I'd be interested to come up against an Impreza though, it does pull and pull all the way through its rev range and never seems to stop, I dont think they could shake me if Im honest even though they may be in front

THE M3 WILL HAVE NO CHANCE AT A WR1. IF YOU LOOK IN THE GARAGE I HAVE PHOTOS OF MY M3 SAME SPEC AND COLOUR A YOURS. THE WORST 22K I SPENT. THE SUBARU IS A BETTER DRIVE THAN AN M3 WILL BE LEAFT FOR DEAD BY A WR1.
WATCH OUT FOR VANOS NOISES. COMMON FAULT AND CAN PACK IN AT ANYTIME. AND ALSO TYRES 3000 MILES TO THE REARS AT 250 PER CORNER
