Yes Bono I know, Aberdeen were quality in the 80's, but do you think they would be any better now if AF were still there, or if AF were to manage Celtic or Rangers, do you think in this money mad football world they would have any better chance.... of winning the blue square league
If Fergie was still with us and we still had Dick Donald the director at the time instead of the grippy baldie b*stard we have now then we would still be a force now. Fergie would never manage the Huns, he turned down a managers job at Rangers for various reasons including the way they treated him when he played for them. He always felt he had something to prove and took great delight in shafting Celtic and Rangers. As for the blue square premier.....we can only dream
He's a blue nose though!!! as is his son. Infact in his aberdeen days he had a house party with a giant sign saying No Catholics on his front door. Rangers werent big in the 80's until souness came in a raped the league!!
I read his autobiography which was really interesting. He was a Bluenose until he was used as a scapegoat for the goals in the 1969 cup final, I doubt he would have that banner at a party, as he came up here partly to get away from all the religous bigotry in weegieville.
And I dont think his wife would be chuffed as she's a CATHOLIC!!!
Here's a chapter from his Wiki page.....
He then joined Rangers for £65,000, then a record fee for a transfer between two Scottish clubs. He was blamed for a goal that they conceded in the 1969 Scottish Cup Final, in a match in which he was designated to mark Celtic captain, Billy McNeill, and was subsequently forced to play for the club's junior side instead of for the first team. According to his brother, Ferguson was so upset by the experience that he threw his losers' medal away. There have been claims that he suffered discrimination at Rangers after his marriage to his wife Cathie, who was a Catholic but Ferguson himself makes it clear in his autobiography that Rangers knew of his wife's religion when he joined the club and that he left the club very reluctantly, due to the fall-out from his alleged cup final mistake.
Also from Wiki....
After a sub-standard start to the 1983–84 season, Aberdeen's form improved and the team won the Scottish league and retained the Scottish Cup. Ferguson was awarded the OBE in the 1984 honours list, and was offered the managers' jobs at Rangers, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur during the season.

....... I'm not finished. Before we let you leave, your commander must cross that field, present himself before this army, put his head between his legs, and kiss his own arse.

Hello folks, how easy would it be to change the 3 digit number on these tax disc holders? is it engraved or risen from the surface ?
I am thinking of buying this one and changing the number, if its not too much hassle
Regards and be lucky !
