Asda Charity Track Day

Postby Chris B » Sun Mar 07, 2010 11:52 am

To be held on August 15th at Bruntingthorpe, add your names looks like it will be a good one ,lots of celebraties coming,we will keep adding anymore info as we get it.
As last year those travelling can book in at the Barcelo hotel on the A5 £55/room quote O.Y.M.55 when booking, the Barcelo has a good restaurent, but across the A5 is a good fish restaurent and just up the road, only a short walk is a Harvester restaurent. Tel for the Barcelo is 01455 898400.
We raised over £30000 last year.
Can someone make this a sticky so no-one misses out.Remember Subarus only on the gate, but everyone is welcome on the static stand.

RCMs new premises should be open by August so we can have a trip down to see Matt and Olly and the gobstopper on the Saturday.

It costs nothing for WR1OC members,we will give you passes to enter on the day,it is just for WRIOC members only to go on the track where you will be required to take members of the public round and scare the shit out of them, they pay £5 a go,so for any new guys its not a track day for you or your mates,we did include another club 2 years ago but it did not work and as this did start as a WRIOC event its being kept to just our club.
Any friends/family are more than welcome its just £5 to get in and you park on the public car park, the more people we get the better, all the members who have been before know the drill.

and here are some photos Megaman took the year before. I can't seem to find any from last year, but there must be some on here somewhere.

I tried the link to the website for On Your Marks but it took me to an unrelated site so I'll find out what the new site is called and post a link to it.

I didnt take any pics last year as I brought my photographer with me - Ian who some of you got some pictures off. Funnily enough he managed to get a few good shots of everyone on the track except for me!!

Oh just in case any one is confused, This is the event that I said might be at Rockingham. The organisors managed to sort things out with the owners of Bruntingthorpe so it's business as usual.

Excellent news Chris. Really looking forward to this again. I've now got a little more track experience from a recent trackday, I'm also doing a VXR training day in June so hopefully by Aug we will be ready to give some good passenger laps.

Everyone needs to go round the track with Woza.
For all the new guys, before we start the day you will be able to go round the track by yourselves to get the feel of things and Woza and Co will come round with you to give you a few pointers.
Heaven can wait....I'm playing with my scooby.
