Ashame we don't have someone who works as an ophtamologist here. I could do with one after reading this.
Thankyou how many wr1 are in the uk ? there is not many for sale ? and how much cash should i pay 4 a low mileage car ?
Hi Ian,
There were originally 500 WR1's in the UK, not sure on the official figure now though. Substantially less I would imagine. With 15K in the bank you should be able to get an unmolested one with 25 odd thousand on the clock. That's if one comes up for sale. There are a few out there. Some good and some bad. I only bought my one last week and the 2 previous owners were both forum members so the history is traceable. There is a WR1 out there at the moment for sale and the owner has forgot that it once was in a rear ender!!!! Do your research and you will be fine. Previously:

http://www.pistonheads.com/SALES/1423054.htm http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... &logcode=p http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... &logcode=p There's not many wr1's with the keyring, So i wouldn't let that put you of buying a minted one without the keyring, Focus ST's rule!!!
The keyring isn't a neccessity, it is a nicety though but it's not the reason to buy or not to buy a car.

Foley car number 3 there, apparently there's some discrepancy with the service history and car number 4 is already sold.

HELLO JASON THANKS FOR TELL NO I WILL CALL YOU SUNDAY IM OF OUT TONIGHT FOLEY THANKS 4 THE HELP JASON I WILL LOOK AFTER IT
Hope you get it mate If you do get the car take of those driving lamp covers and put on the driving lamp surrounds back on Focus ST's rule!!!
I am just not sure about buying a car with finance on it never done that before what sould i do and how safe am i cos if he dont pay it the finance company will come for the car what sould i do help me
Never done it my self mate but be very carefull, Don't want a finance company coming to lift your car up after paying 15k on it, Focus ST's rule!!!
Re FinanceI bought a car with finance owing on it and made the cheque out to the finance company and what little was left over I paid in cash to the seller. You can always ask to speak to the finance company to confirm what amount is outstanding. I was very happy to do it that way.
Do a HPi check to verify who the outstanding finance is owed to, don't take someone's word for it because although they may be telling you the "truth"... they themselves may actually be wrong!! Sounds strange, but if you are laying out 15k... you wanna be 100% sure you are getting a car that you don't owe anyone else on!!
It's difficult but why can't the owner take out a small loan to cover the outstanding finance or use a credit card? If the loan is only for a few days then it won't cost a lot in interest, banks can arrange bridging loans for these sorts of things.... I would be very careful mate, its your money, be aware of the risks. [Just incase this gets lost in translation, I am not slandering you, I know people can be sensitive to these harsh words.]
Hi and many thanks i need to take me time and be very carefull on this one there is no quick way of buying this wr1 i will defo pay by cheque and writing the cheque to the finance company sounds a good way and paying the rest to the owner in cash on picking up the car
Re: Re Finance
I did exactly this as well when I bought my car. L
Lol yeah be careful but for starters the current owner go's on pretty much all the subaru sites, i will give u all paperwork for finance, you can speak with finance company so pay them direct whatever you want to do. Be careful but lets not make it worse than it has to be. A few guys even on here can vouch for me. Heres me worrying about getting the private plate off to get car ready quicker.
Hello jason yes you do sound like a very nice man and yes i do still want to buy your car i trust you fully and you have done all you can its a shame for you that you have to sell but i will love wr1 303 as much as you did good luck ian
I am gutted if i am honest as u know.
Is it sad that i cant sleep at night thinking what am i doing? God help me when its gone, hmm maybe Ian will change his mind.
