Rain repellents...Does anyone use a rain-repellent on the windscreen/windows?
If so, what brand - i've heard Rain-X is good but leaves a smeared finished...
Re: Rain repellents...
Try PIAA silicon wipers The WR1 be safe in the knowledge that, short of strapping yourself to an Acme rocket, there's no quicker way to get from A to B.
I use rain-x and i find if you apply it with a soft microfibre cloth then go over it with a damp chamois it leaves a perfect crystal clear finish.
Sooty,
Needs a WR1 now his WRX300 is sold Or a spec D
I used to use rain x with good results but you kept forgeting to top it up as it wore of.
Same as Eck i now use the PIAA wipers which as well as being good wipers they leave a layer on the windscreen that works just as well as rain x & it applies it every time you use your wipers.
yes go for the piaa wipers, try to avoid using rain-x only for the simple fact that if you eva get a stone chip they dont repair well at all, & your end up having to get a new windscreen every time you get a stone chip.
Great infomation that, I didnt know this www.wwjpc.co.uk Wales "n" West Japanese Performance Cars WR1 495
cheers wayne, ya iv had right problems trying to repair stone chips with rain-x on the screens, the resin just will not stick in the windscreen iv tried every trick in the book with no luck, dont get me wrong rain-x does work very well just be prepared to fork out for new screens once in a while.
I use Werkstat Glass System on mine, its like Rain-x but on steroids!
Going round corners just got a whole lot faster...
You love that werkstat stuff dont you clark think i must invest in some... Sooty,

I took the windscreen out, bit wet and windy but clear as fook
[Just incase this gets lost in translation, I am not slandering you, I know people can be sensitive to these harsh words.]
Next question, how do you get the bugs out of your teeth
the crash helmet stops this problem and he has tear off strips on the helmet. any passengers a fooked though, never the less well fed ..........if they like bugs.

gone...Impreza RB320 No 112 gone...Impreza WR1 No 84 gone...Civic Type R EP3 gone...Seat Leon Cupra 225 gone...Civic Type R EP3 gone...(shed with weels)
like the sound of that. but its not on your website.. where can i get some?
I have the PIAA wipers and they are simply awesome. At 55+ mph the rain just rolls up the screen in beads and you dont even need to use the wipers
Cant recommend then enough, worth every penny and they look the bees knees each having a small PIAA logo on.
I got some after starting this thread. Agree - they are awesome.
However, the drivers side one keeps coming loose - will have to pinch the hook with a pair of grips I expect to make it stop coming off...
Where are you guys getting the piaa wipers from?
I user rainx but its not great at some speeds as after you top it up it smudges the rain which then beeds off - its actually easier to not use the wipers with rainx and let it bead off - on the motorways it looks like your in the millenium falcon going into hyperspace, very strange effect..
Can get them from Scoobyparts And as Maverick pointed out its a good idea to give the hooks a little tighten with pliers. The WR1 be safe in the knowledge that, short of strapping yourself to an Acme rocket, there's no quicker way to get from A to B.
I use Werstatt prime on my windows, easy on/off and the rain just rolls off,I always use it on the Gobstopper as well.
Heaven can wait....I'm playing with my scooby.
