Broke my 1 virginityHi all, I'm Pete. Bit new to this forum lark so forgive the slowness. Not quite a 1 owner yet but will hopefully be by the end of the week!! Took one out this eve and it makes my '97 turbo PPP feel like a Rover
Re: Broke my 1 virginity
A Range Rover?? Welcome mate, hope you get a good one and enjoy it!! [Just incase this gets lost in translation, I am not slandering you, I know people can be sensitive to these harsh words.]
Welcome virgin. Hope you don't feel "abused" by the WR1oc and it was a mutually enjoyable popping of the cherry.
Why not eh!! 98 DC2 Integra type R

Cheers folks, it's good to be aboard. Found number 242 with only 13k miles on the clock so i've got a good feeling . Problem is the owner is down with the plague (swine flu) so i won't have an answer to my offer til the weekend at the earliest!
Never been this impatient in my life! Lovin the pics you guys have put on by the way, good job.
that is decent and very low mileage, has it been kept in a garage? 98 DC2 Integra type R

No not in a garage unfortunately. The owners are retired (just turned 65) but don't use it that often as they have other cars thy use daily. It's only just had drilled and grooved rally discs all round too so stops pretty sharpish. Only a few minor dings and some kerb damage on one alloy but i'll sort that before getting photo's done.
Not sure if it has the tin and key ring but I'd def be interested in one if it doesn't.
Yeah, thats not happening you wont find one!!! so its sat outside for 5 years and berely been driven, you better get the clay ready 98 DC2 Integra type R

More like an archaeological kit I'd say you've got a deal but i've gotta buy it first. Must be the longest week of my life!!
Welcome from Worcestershire to.
Just try to establish whether it's had its rear shocks exchanged ( warranty or not) as it MAY give you some room for haggling if they've not been changed. They SURELY will need to be eventually ! Look for the tax disc holder (numbered) and the Service book which shoud show the same number. The plaque is not numbered and best to forget the key ring !!! Hope you secure the sale.
Cheers buddy. I don't think they have the key ring but I know they have the service book and it matches the tax disc holder - 1st thing I checked! If the shocks haven't been changed and do go do you have any recommendations for replacements? I see there's a difference of opinion on coilovers
welcome dude

Cheers guys. Not heard anything yet but you'll know when i do. Think i'm starting to obsess about it too much now!!
the obsession gets worse when its in the garage and you havent driven it in 3 weeks because it is wet and you spent nearly 2 full weeks @ 5 hours a nite cleaning and polishing it and dont want dust let alone dirt on it and every night all you want to is rag it to death.......................... Shit that is just me. 98 DC2 Integra type R

You're not alone on that one. I may still keep my current car as a commuter, Guernsey's notorious for muppets denting your panels when it's parked up and the 1 i'm looking at has a couple of marks which i'll want to sort as it is. If they don't sell (that's not an option!) I'll have to pop to the mainland to get one. I'm hooked on them already and only driven it once! Must be love at first sight
Hey guys. Just thought I'd let you know I've secured the purchase on my new WR1 number 242 Will be collecting it friday night so that gives me a weekend of endless TLC to make her shine like the beauty she is. Photo's and details will be posted on the register/garage in due course. Thanks for all the support and encouragement
welcome mate ,am also a recent edition to the club .not met all of them but the ones i did are a great helpfull bunch, and am sure they all are.
Well done, I can't explain why but is it just me that gets a little jelous every time someone buys a Wr1?
Yeah it's bad when you don't have one and people are buying them all over the shop and all you can do is pine away like a neglected dog. I count myself as one of they lucky ones and will def be taking good care of her. I know her history too and it's great!
