What is the Subaru Power Check Service...?
Also, when servicing the WR1, do you have to do it a the mileage interval, or annual intervals, or is it whichever is sooner...?

Power check is a simple plug into your ECU by the dealer to look for faults!
"power check" is a bit decieving!
intervals as per mileage or annual whichever 1st
Crash bang wollop!!

When I queried a "power check" at Crossroads Subaru where they were selling a WR1 at the time I was looking around, they told me it "verified the full 320bhp was still being produced".... at the time I thought it was BS..
I still think it's BS

most important thing is to simply change oil and filter. This is a simple DIY job too.
other stuff like fuel filter, fuel pump, brakes are pretty simple to do at home too, but need a tad more planning.
diff and gearbox oil can be done at home, but like the engine oil need to disposed of properly.
I can't remember the last time I took one of my cars to a dealer for a service.

How would a RR verify 320bhp? It would verify that the car performs on a RR and nothing else... This old chesnut!!

You just as well get 8 rolling pins fix them to your garage floor and put a desk fan in front of the bumper, and have a beer but only do 2 short trips we would'nt want you fecking your engine up
