It doesn't matter. It is a woman's shopping car. But like a Megan.

Zedder: the vxr understeers a damn sight more and torque steers like a git, as for handling in the wet im not even going to go there thats what i love about the 4 wheel drive system it just grips or drifts its so managable. Its a lot easier to drive round town than a civic type r tho but thats because of it being a turbo. One of my mates has got the nurbergring edition and he myself and the lad with the type r went for a drive down some country lanes the other month and they couldnt even get close to the scoob maybe something to do with the fact it was raining.

My misses drives a GB270 - which understeers all over the place - she uses it to go to the shops
Infact whenever we go to the shops we always take the scoob and the megane stays at home

Have to agree with you Sootie, the vxr should come with a health warning as it gives you a coronary when tackling winding roads [no comparison to the scooby] woz suprised how much poke it as got though!!and it gets the kids to school on time but wouldnt like to give it anymore gee gees ive heard of some VXRS doing 300hp now that must be MENTAL!!!

Once your rolling its fine although you wouldnt want to boot it in 1st and expect to win against anything 4wd...greasy and wet roads will set off the ESP if you try and drive too quickly...but given its power it drives incredibly well. could do with lowering and powergrip suspension from morego... but i need to keep it practical for getting over speed bumps etc so have avoided doing it...

You cant squash something as big as me mate .... the owners club is very active for the STs and you normally get at least 10-30 cars per meet if you do a run somewhere which is quite cool.

It woz a toss up between an st or the vxr but r lass chose the vxr on its looks but i think the st is a much more all round car driving wise!! begs the question why buy an rs focus if you can tweak an st to over 300 bhp especially when its still front wheel drive

Yea the MRS wished she had waited a while and got the nurbergring edition of the VXR but hey thats life, i wished id waited a few months and could have got a WR1 for the same price i paid for the WRX300. God damn the recession.
Im not a fan of the Type R just dont like driving it and to be honest i havent really driven the ST to comment on it.
