Many of us already use Keith Michaels and great a great service, and highly competitive quotes from them. Now they are an authorised trader if you quote wr1oc when phoning Gary Moulson for a quote you'll get a better price :thumb:

Glad to read this.

Gary was very understanding when I wanted to insure my WR1 after becoming a statistic following the theft of my Civic Type R a while back.

I have to agree

Postby Rallyline » Mon Jan 05, 2009 1:54 am

I had my P1 stolen back in August. I was insured by the AA (underwritten by Norwich Union). After 3 months they eventually offered me a sensible figure in settlement of my claim. I then purchased my new car, a 2005 WRX Sti JDM. The AA were unable to insure the car and I was given a refund of my remaining premium.

I then started looking around and Googling Insurance companies that specialised in Japanese Imports. There were plenty that came up, but it must be said that most of them simply DO NOT specialise in Jap cars at all. I spent hours on the phone giving all my details, only for them to ask, 'Is it a Type UK 300?' and then when the car did not appear on their system, they'd say they couldn't help.

Swinton, surprisingly gave me a reasonable quote of £580 (I have one or two points and the previous theft although no claims have always been protected) No one else could even come close to that figure, except Keith Michaels who managed to beat Swinton by £40. What is more they didn't ask stupid questions and knew EXACTLY what they were talking about from the off.

Couldn't recommend them more.

But crazy thing is - guess who the insurance is with? Norwich Union!
If in doubt, flat out.

Keep talking to Gary Moulson.

He's got a good few Insurance Companies working with him to get club drivers like us, the very best deals and despite MANY people saying that they've seen their renewls rocketing, this simply isnt the case with Keith Michaels to people like us.

I've just had my renewel which saves me £25 over last year with same full NCB as last year.

......mmmm........ let him quote the mad arses £1,500 cos it helps to keep OUR prices down.

The stats for claims on Scoobs & Evo's with K. M. is brilliant compared to other brokers.....

..... see, they choose WHO to give the best prices to....

More than happy here

Postby Rallyline » Sun Mar 07, 2010 7:59 am

Some idiot ran into the back of me a couple of months ago. Not a heavy hit, but enough to do the rear bumper and exhaust.

They say you don't know how good an 8insurance company is until you have to claim - well for me the experience was smooth and organised despite some logistical problems.

All their claims are handled by Winns Solicitors and after a call to them I got a quote done by a local garage, which was quickly followed by a visit from one of their engineers.

Then because of work commitments I had to relocate to Derbyshire for a few weeks. This was also no problem - I got a new quote done up there and the repairs quickly went ahead.

Their insurance is supposed to give you a 'like 4 like' car while the repairs are being done and I waited with some trepidation to see what I would be offered. On their list were cars like Lotus Elise, Audi TT Quattro etc. The job of providing the car was given to a company in London called Platinum. They rang me and said that they were unfortunately not able to give me a direct replacement, so would have to 'upgrade' me.

They delivered to Derbyshire a Mercedes 350 AMG Convertible, which I was very happy with. A great car for fast roads, but I have to say that on Derbyshire lanes it was very disappointing.

I ended up with it for nearly 6 weeks as a part for the repairs had to come from Japan.

Got my car back yesterday and am very happy with it.

Added to all that, Jeremy at Keith Michaels also managed to get my premium down by just over 10% this year too.

Very happy with them.
If in doubt, flat out.

Cheers RALLYLINE for that...

The one thing you didnt tell us was the name of the INSURANCE COMPANY. It would be interesting to know if KM had placed it with Highway for you and HAVE they kept you with the same company for this year ?

Just renewed with Gary who saved me a considerable sum this year.
I have to add that two other companies did their best to compete this yr and were VERY close.

I opted to stay with K.M. although they were slightly dearer. Who knows, perhaps a bit of loyalty counts for something.

Cheers Gary.
