has anyone got this app on their iPhone and used it?!
I'm intrigued. measures 0-60 acceleration, quarter mile, HP, Lateral G's and more

My 0 - 60 is 0.97 seconds.
Not great I know, but I was taking it easy on my gearbox

When I looked at getting it 3 or 4 weeks ago all the feedback was that it was a bit buggy so I decided to wait a bit to see if they bring out an updated version.

Sounds fun... hopefully it will not confirm your car is only pushing 280bhp and 250 torque.

PMSL. Wont get a chance to try it today unfortunately, it's raining, it's Friday and I'm thirsty.
Will be interested to see the results though!!

Dan,
If you can try it and it works I'll download it and compare it to the proper Rallytrip in my Tiger when I am on the MSA Euroclassic in a weeks time.

I'll be shocked if it works, I hope it does, but will be shocked if it really is even close to being accurate - will keep you posted!!

Its apparently very good, few guys I know have it. There are loads of apps for that phone. If you can even call it a phone. Well, you can, so I did.
Any word back on it yet?

Is there actually a device attached to the iPod then ? Or does the iPod have an acceleration meter ?

Prob as it needs a safety to retract the heads of the hard-disc if it drops.
Will it be accurate enough to feel the difference in acceleration in a car though ?
Keep us posted !

nothing to do with that. it's used to flip the screen etc. but it's very very clever with other apps, particularly in games. Will try dynolicious soon!

Doesnt the Iphone use solid state drives thus no moving parts... so if you drop it the only thing that breaks is the rest of it.. i.e. the screen will crack, the case will shatter, speaker will probably break etc... normally with most damaged iphones the data is the only thing that is intact... Except those who put them in their top pocket and lean over to flush the loo and wonder why it slips down into the toilet... those iphones are normally foobar'd
