WR1's in action at WJPC "Airforce 3 " event.

Postby Micktype WR1 » Wed May 21, 2008 10:38 pm

Here's a few pics that I took at Sunday's "Airforce 3" event that WJPC held with very special permission at a disused airfield.

Look for MAC-1's hat and to contrast that, look for EVO3695 with his familiar hair colour.
The two boys lined up against each other for this dash to the cones and back. I think I ought to wait for Steve or Martyn to post up their result.....
They'll also tell you who won when I lined up against Martyn (EVO).
My only other runs of the day were against one of the black Skylines. Well, lets say I had time to wave my "Mickey Mouse" mascot to the starter as I crossed the line..........Both times !...........RESULT.....(again..ssshh)

some good action shots there.

Looks like SOOO much body roll on one pic. Also interesting to see just how much it dives under heavy braking with AP's only on the front, can you do exactly the same when you have the rears fitted to we can compare?

Was it your car Mark?, the guy that owns it now Andy P is a member of WJPC and he came over and offered a run against him, so interested to see how I would go on I went for it and got on the line, he tells me he is running 321bhp but when he pulled away on the first run it was bloody quick. On the second run I was a lot closer on the return but can’t take anything away from the car it looks good, sounds good and flew good.

Hi Mick,

Nice pics, I have put a lot on General Scooby Chat but haven’t had a chance to do anything with the video yet.

I don’t want to say anything about the Ginger Ninja who thought that he could take you on and win, silly man. So I will let the video tell the story when I have downloaded it.

Yeah it was my best mates car and i bought it off him for a while until he missed it and had it back ..
On 1.5 Bar i thought it was quicker than my 1 but the gearing was very short .. I Always had the legs on it at silly speeds ..

It was rapid and he sold it earlier this year

the spec was pretty good and nicely looked after

Sorry, have I missed something hear.

Yes on the first two runs yep you did kick my butt. On the second runs we were evenly matched, I think your excuse was “I missed my gearâ€

I actually don't think the issue was that Pooster got on the power too early. He went into the brakes too late which meant he was understeering in the corner. When he then went back onto the gas, the car was still unsettled and the steering angle still too sharp and the car hence swung into brutal oversteer. :?

In summary: Pooster was trying too hard

Now you say, she didn't look very happy when she got out of the car after the excursion in the grass where you took your front lip off...

Did you put it back on, in the end ?
