We are ALL ears Jimbo!!

So are you going to enlighten us?
I have narrowed it down to either a skyline, viper or testarossa . will only be used at weekends though. probably be next year when i get one, but if anyone on here has experienced ownership of any of the above - any info would be gratefully received

guys, one of the added bonuses with membership will be the garage functionility you can fully use, as well as pics and specs you can also do some funky funky stuff such as uload dyno graphs to your cars profile.
People are now hassling me for this. other stuff is not ready for the membership yet
Would you want to get paid up for membership and be happy for the other things to follow when they are ready?

I'm happy to go with the flow, Dan. I've got no immediate need for the garage functionality right now, as I haven't got a car to put in there

well, looking at the poll, I think we can work out who's voted NO then...
That leaves a handful or two who have said yes...There must be dozens of members who havn't voted yet ..?
£25 is too much and you're going to split an already small forum into two I feel. The "Insiders" and those remaining who are a bit left out cos they didn't want to pay £25.
Ah well. We'll see.

the problem is that the MLR covers lots of evos etc, where as the wr1oc can only cover 500 cars if all owners are members (+ previous owners) as it is specific to one version of an impreza. it also might put some new owners off joining as they might be unclear what they would get for there membership fee.
although having some sort of members merchandise, to me, is a very good idea. But could that not be done in a group buy.
i am quite new here but how many members are "active" and would be willing to pay the £25, which in wr1 ownership is 5 mins worth of petrol so nothing really.
my pennies worth.
Gracing the drive.....BMW M3 E92 with all the toys!/Integra DC5/ Integra DC2 race car/BMW X5 gone...Impreza RB320 No 112 gone...Impreza WR1 No 84 gone...Civic Type R EP3 gone...Seat Leon Cupra 225 gone...Civic Type R EP3 gone...(shed with weels)

I dont mind a membership fee of say a £10er as long as you get something decent back for it. Like someone else has already said though compared to other sites you might cause too much of a divide. Either way I go with the flow...

State clearly what you would like to get for your membership? I know would like to offer more but he hasn't want to put members off from joining.

If there was to be paid membership for an owners club would it not be worth approaching the other special subaru clubs / websites rb5 rb320s p1 etc so their would be a greater number of members meaning greater buying power for discounts, perks etc

Have a club registrar to get a agreed value on our cars for insurance purposes,
Keep the whole forum open but have a member area,
Could make group buys members only to encourage no members to become members,
Cheaper insurance with keith micheals with an agreed value
Have access to cheaper parts for the wr1
Have a club member banner below your name
Have a wr1 information pack delivered when you become a member with a wr1 sticker for the car (ect)
Just ma 2p bit for all it's worth!

Dan,
We have recently rolled out membership option on this site
http://www.cslregister.com/forum/index.php
it has gone down a storm, most members have paid up of there own accord, and there is no bonus for being a paid member except a little badge thing!
Previously: Everything With 4 Wheels over 300bhp
Currently: M6 (57) & Hilux Invincible (60)

I would like to have a membership card that entitles WR1 owners to 10% discount on parts, servicing and merchandise at Subaru dealerships. Maybe some WR1 specific merchandise similar to the RB320 website.

I am currently a paying member of the Subaru Impreza Drivers Club (SIDC) and use my membersip card at Subaru Dealerships when getting my WR1 Serviced etc, the card entitles me to 10% off all parts and labour. I would rather pay for a WR1 Membership if it entitled me to the same benefits. The Initial cost of a membership is £35 for 12 mnths and then £30 to renew a membership.
Luv the Personal Keyring Idea.
