nice pics there mate - looking good... did you clean it up yourself?
if so mine could do with a good wash
yes megaman i did clean it al by myself lol although its had quite a few coats of zymol vintage wax from previous owner glen in rescent months
this may be why it looks as good as it does.
I got mine a few weeks back and gave it two coats of meguiars but its a hard colour to get looking nice. I find zymol better on flat paints and meguiars better on metalic... maybe i need some zymol
Any chance of enlarging the pics Kev to show it off in all its glory. Obviously we know it is a clean car from the history but it is always nice to see pictures.
Hopefully Clark will add some experience to this discussion when he details his own car. I personally like Zymol. A few coats of Concours and you get a really nice natural looking glass effect on the paint. The protection it offers over the less natural sealant products is superb in my opinion. Mind, you do need to build a few coats of the zymol up and you will find nothing sticks to the paint that will not simply wash off. I've tried Zymol Destiny of which I have another pot on its way to me. This is lovely stuff and seems to need less coats than the Concours. Some say it it is harder to apply but I disagree and found it easier. I think within reason the more you spend the better the result. If I was a "armchair" car cleaner, like our beloved Glen, I would be demanding the Vintage too... Since I like to apply the wax myself I can't quite justify the outlay... Maybe next time! This is after one coat of Destiny... on top of the concours.
The cars looking fantastic Kev, I cannot tell you what a good example it is, there was a tear in my eye the day I sold that car, I wish I hadnt.
And Bro, LOL, will have some pics up soon, my man is coming round to do the srt 8 next week, and we have new secret weapon polish to apply Previously: Everything With 4 Wheels over 300bhp
Currently: M6 (57) & Hilux Invincible (60)
Did you mean Polish or Wax?
Car looks great!
I have the luxury of being able to choose from a varied range of products at work including Zymol Vintage (£1800 per pot!) but on the likes of the WR1 it is wasted in my opinion as it mutes the flake a bit. You're far better going for the likes of an Acrylic Sealant on a colour with such mental metalic flake in it as the Ice Blue has, and you'll get extremely high reflectivity and clarity from it instead of the slightly "fuzzy" glow that a wax will give Just my opinion of course and many others will prefer the waxed look, i cant wait to get my 1 properly detailed, especially the engine as its covered in dust! Going round corners just got a whole lot faster...
We can't wait either... Make sure your camera is charged!
