WR1 & RB320Hiya,
After having a flick out with the father in law today I took some pics of both the cars together. I think the RB320 looks a lot meaner although most other people keep telling me they prefer the WR1's looks as it suits the car. Having had a good long blast I can confirm that even though the RB320 feels a lot torquier and quicker when you are in it, that the WR1 kept with it on all the country roads so theres not a right lot of difference between the two power wise. The biggest difference is his reaction times he could start booting it from lower down the rev range where as id have to drop it a gear to get the power band back on my side. All in all a good day. Cheers Mega
Ive retrieved some aston pics for you mate - when i get my laptop fired up will get them off it for ya
The RB is "definately" a more "purposefull looking car"
But you cant beat a 2.0ltr for fun and responsiveness!! Lets be honest otherwoie we would all be getting "stroked" 2.1 or 2.3s!! Crash bang wollop!!
I agree the RB320 is definately meaner looking but I do like the WR1, especially the way you have to drive it - It gives it charachter... none of this just put ya foot down at any RPM when u want power with these big torquey engines... Be manly, get a WR1 where you have to knock it down a gear and rev the ass off it
Seriously though both cars are unbelievably good at handling and put power down more or less the same way.. Both are real monsterous vehicles PS The RB320 i noticed today has 235 tyres where as mine are 220... probably gives it an edge on traction and handling?
Will be fitting 235 next to ours ther apparently can rub on the edges, but i'll just stiffen me suspension 2007 BMW M5

If you look at the 2 front on they seem to have the same "ride height" even though the RB has the bilsteins.....
Without the splitter on...very similar Crash bang wollop!!
is it me or does the 1 look lower ? 2007 BMW M5

You boys are pissed if you think you can measure ride height on a couple of pictures of cars parked on uneven ground.
WR1 actually looks a little dated in those pics, compared to the hawkeye.
Great snaps, though mate! 2004 RB Renault Clio 182 (Coilovers running Mark Fish setup)
The hawkeye is a much better looking car IMO but I dont like the RB320 with all that chrome at the front. They should have done it matt black all over and made it proper cool.

you tell 'em mate
I agree, but don't tell the RB320 crew as they are all tossers... PMSL.
Yer well people look at the two and tell me the WR1 is better looking. They keep saying the RB320 looks like a drug dealer car with its all black style and blacked out windows. Personally i think the RB looks a lot meaner than the WR1 but both cars look good in their own way. I was looking on the RB320OC to find some events for him to go to but that forum looks pretty inactive so i told him not to bother and to join us when you guys finally do some events up my end of the country
watch this space, events will start flowing soon
The wr1 looks miles better, from every angle + the wheels are nicer and those lights on the back of the hawkeye, lexus chav or what, I honestly couldnt live with them at all
How many times... organise away... Otherwise I'm going to nickname you "Benny".
Organise away?
Talk about the blind leading the blind... You will have to let me know what you normally do for your events as i said before you normally seem to meet at tracks... Will have to find one locally and get practising so i dont show myself up
With enough notice people will meet for a chin wag. I made it across to the WYIoc a few weeks back just for a shandy. Granted with the spread of the WR1oc the number will be limited. Sunday lunches have worked in the past.
As a first event, the normal thing is to invite everyone round to drink your beer, eat your food (preferably barbecued), Throw up (hopefully in the dunny), ogle your wifes breasts (or in Bro's case your dogs bo11ocks) and sleep in your beds, leaving stains that require some explaining. Hope thats ok by you? If JP is Roland Rat, them I am Errol the Hamster... His number 1 fan.
Seems the WR1oc is a touch above the P1 standard.
Great pics, Megaman Some lovely comparison shots there.
Events will be re-vitalised soon. The calendar has stagnated somewhat, and there is a plan to get this updated. We'll need at least another week and hopefully there will be some goodies on there to appeal, though I'd stress now that these will be track-focused.
We could do with a members map showing where abouts members are from. Not full addresses just county or something to get an idea how many there are around and about.
Good idea. Can you design this for us?
Tell you what I will give u the map...

I couldn't decide which looks best-so I got both WR1 and RB320! Would quite like a 22b to add to the collection.
