FP green vs MD321T
the debate continues..... When I can afford either I will throw a coin in the air Busy mapping it myself at the moment - convinced extra is possible with the std set up to keep me occupied for the moment. Working on current accepted ratios it is pulling 370bhp and 420 lb/ft on std turbo at the mo. Methanol mapping will start next week Duncan : www.racedynamix.com

I assume your using "ecuflash" if your mapping yourself? On another model the "green" was giving "disapointing reslts in the UK..BUT in the US and ideas now filetring through to the UK ...now with extensive use of GSC cams and the right FMIC and ported manifold and turbo elbows along with correct injectors and FPR etc etc they are producing an easy 460-480 Bhp with equal torque - expected maxing out just short of 500bhp!!! Crash bang wollop!!
ecuflash to flash the roms up but a mixture of enginuity and ecuedit to build/edit the maps.
My engine's std internals wouldnt cope with that unfortunately Duncan : www.racedynamix.com

How are you finding the ecuflash? I rteally dont understand it - but then agin : 1: I dont understand machanicals 2.i dont understand computers The scoob lads seem to steer well clear of it - but it seems with a "littlke" knowledge and £45 for a tactrix cable ou can really start improving everything? In the Mitsi community,,,,ecuflash is so far ahead of "Ecutek" with "unlocking" and understanding the actual potential of the standard ecu that gas better KNOCK control than aftermarket ECU (inc Motec)along with features such as launch control/safe-valet mode/inbuilt knock sensors ets etc..its amazing really what some private individuals are achieving now. Im sure some of the "techies" on here would find it a breeze!! As for internals...easily sorted.......FORGE!!! Crash bang wollop!!
Appologies Mr P1 We SOO did'nt mean to bore you "or" ope the thread upto a "bigger audience as lets face it the P1 is err..."OLD HAT " fella!!! Please dont take this as a "general" WR1OC" club image....its just me.. Oh...and u obviously know marky mark..please pass this on for me... Crash bang wollop!!
I think mister Dynamix sounds like good material for a sliding school
You getting you name down for the Artic School, Dyna' ?
I have given my std turbo power readings The VF35 is a smaller turbo than my VF43 so I would say that your 347bhp is a good showing Spike - Ecuflash is a tool that I use to flash the new maps to the car - it is a doddle. Since I would never be able to stump up the cash for the ecutek solution I have to use the tools developed by the rather clever guys in the open source community. Admittedly, almost all of my mapping has been done by someone else to this point apart from a lot of tweaking recently but it is the fine tuning and attention to detail that I can do because I have time. A tuner will never be able to give you the time to get it spot on and whoever they are they will not be able to do a complete job within the 3 hours or so that they allocate to mapping. I have been logging my car for over a year now and almost always have the laptop on in the car to see how the car reacts in various weather, track, load and performance. This builds up a good knowledge of what happens where and so long as when I make changes they are not that huge, the ecu is pretty clever at protecting itself from dumb stuff Artic sliding... would love to but too many things on the list for next year already Duncan : www.racedynamix.com
