Still a few bits to go. I have a cover that goes inside the cooler to cover up the mess I made of trying to remove the red Sti logo and substitute it with a black WR1 logo. The way to go would have been to spray the centre black first, then cut out the WR1 logo to mask off the black, then paint the rest silver. I tried to do it the opposite way and mask off the silver and paint the black. This just run under the masked off area, also when I removed the masking it pulled bits of silver off. It ended up with paint stripper and a hose down. One lesson learned, but life is just one big lesson.
WR1OK then Mick keep rubbing it in, so you have lots of time on your hands and a big fat wallet .
I am thinking of doing my engine bay out now I have seen yours but doing the opposite to you and using the theme of a used car, I just need to through a bit more dirt on the top and intercooler and I will be ready to show it . Can I have your cast off

Pressure washer
surely not what about all the electric terminals, no matter how hard you try some will still go where it's not wanted 2007 BMW M5
2004 Petter Solberg STi
I've done mine with a pressure washer. You just have to use your head where you blast it.
Try explaining that to Mr. O...
Pressure washer is fine, just avoid the alternator and intercooler and bag up the filter if you have an induction kit.
You can do just as good a job with proper engine cleaner and a hose though. Engine looks very smart Mick! If JP is Roland Rat, them I am Errol the Hamster... His number 1 fan.
Cheers Mark. I removed my alternator and covered up the fuse box. But then I had both inner wings out and the front bumper off and a few other bits as well. [img] Remember this Mark, when you doin another [/img]
Mick can i ask where you got the carbon air intake from? I've been doing the carbon engine bay thing to so far managed to get slam panel, altenator cover & fuse box.
There was a intake on ebay a while ago but just missed out on it.

Fourth?
Have you got any recent pics of your engine bay Mr C? Why only fourth as I'm assume it still looks spanking? Good to have to back Mick
The car that came in fifth is in the October's Fast car mag page 52 a Civic type R, the one that won has now won 55 trophy's a Toyota Celica, I missed which came second and third, so forth was not bad for an aging impreza, which in my guess has had a fraction spent on it at the side of the other fifty cars in the show. I will post some more pictures, but it's not changed that much, a bit more chrome. I am fitting the carbon rear diffuser today, or I am going to attempt to fit it.
