the thing is ......
to do it properly there (ie link the two corners at each end) I needed to:
1) have more speed
2) use more opposite lock
3) stop laughing long enough to keep my concentration
Having never done that kind of stuff before - i was brought up being taught that tidy and smooth is best / quickest and when I was young and impressionable I had minis therefore drifting is a completely alien concept to me.... forcing the car the be sideways isnt natural for me.
The next drifft night is on the 22nd August and I am going to have another go at it to see if i can do it but mainly to have a laugh.
One thing is for sure though, I feel a lot more comfortable being sideways in the car now, so cant all be bad
by the way, the track is reasonably narrow so it does force use into actually trying to drift around on track and accurately rather than an empty car park where space is not a restriction.... suffice to say i wasnt the best
