Mark is Rally Driver,Mick C will put the other names up,but we had the best club stand even though we had the lowest number of cars.
Heaven can wait....I'm playing with my scooby.
The other two were Donna and Steve [iceblu] thanks to them for joining us on the stand at such short notice and buying two club shirts. All the efforts wasn't down to me it was a good effort by everyone that was there, Mark and Avs porvided the Gazebo, barbeque and food. Steve [MAC1] the flags, poles, posters, helium and ballons. Chris and Rosy the shirts and hand outs and Me and Lynn the Bunting and support poles. But everyone provided the enthusiasm. Roll on the next club event.
Oh, by the way the orange monstroshity [sorry one H too many] beat my and Chris in the modified class and then went on to win best in show, what do you all reakon boys and girls, everyone to there own I suppose.
Looks a tidy car... if you can ignore the orange and the bugeye lights. Not my cup of tea... but I suspect it must have something special under the bonnet to beat Chris and Rosy? Sorry Mick, I'm not sure what level of tune you are at.
You are kidding me 2007 BMW M5

Didn't seem to be about performance mods at all. It had an induction kit and fmic, remap, dump valve otherwise pretty much standard engine, so more about the fancy paintwork and bodykit, than anything else. It seemed to be a popular decision though, so each to their own.
While we were waiting to go back in the arena for the final judging for best in show, I did overhear some people commenting on our car and suggesting that we shouldn't really be in there as we hadn't done the work ourselves. Hands up all those that do all the mods themselves, rather than going to any of the tuning companies such as WRC, RCMS, Scooby Clinic etc. or bodyshops for resprays, spoilers and the like.
...Mark... and errr.....Mark PMSL
That is crazy. You are always going to get sour people when you rock up in RosyB. What I do find slightly crazy is the amount of people that pay to have their cars professionally prepared for the Show'n'Shine events. To me, mechanically modding your car isn't a normal everyday task that anyone can do. However, cleaning your car to look good on the day to me should be your labour of love and not a wallet exercise. Granted that is my opinion and I'm usually wrong
Yep, my hands are up
Although i do use RCM and others for parts and stuff i can't do like geometry etc. Thats just slightly bitter people speaking Rosy, don't worry about it. It is a show and shine comp, so its not about best modded or most BHP etc. In the modified class they normally look under the bonnet but its only for presentation and fit etc. If that orange thing (no matter how tasteless it is ) has been done well and as immaculate as it looks in the pics then you can't really deny it doing well, even against the likes of RosyB. At least RosyB does get driven, unlike a lot of the cars that do well in show and shine comps. If JP is Roland Rat, them I am Errol the Hamster... His number 1 fan.
Twitter and Bisted come to mind Had numerous arguments with my local scoob owners...ie classics owners who supposedly DIY ...as opposed to me being a cheque book charlie, it's not the fact I could'nt do it, I just could'nt be bothered and if anything goes wrong, and it did ie up-pipe split, back box split etc WRC replaced FOC, If fitted myself who's to say they would not turn around and say it was not fitted correctly... To us Chris and Rosy yours will always be numero uno 2007 BMW M5

Thanks for the great pics Chris....& Rosy ( who had the camera!) Avs & myself really enjoyed the day & it was a great effort by everybody!
Got to give a special mention to Mick & Lynn tho for the tremendous amount of time & effort put into designing the stand & making all the bunting, flags, club pics book etc!! We were robbed in the club stand section, although well done to Mick & Rosy & Chris for winning prizes! Roll on next yr when hopefully we`ll have a few more cars on the stand & show `em all how it`s done !! Look forward to the Sunday lunch meet up when a date/venue`s sorted out!!
Well done the crew!!!! I should have really been there but sometimes you have to miss out, roll on the next show or road trip maybe down our way. Question does Mac 1 know how to smile, answers on a post card. Once again well done all of you.
Waiting for results.
Chatting up the judges Paul Ns WR1,all by itself. Heaven can wait....I'm playing with my scooby.
Well done to everyone concerned, the stand looked great and so did all the cars
I wish I could have helped out by being the sixth star on the stand but I had already committed myself to the LADS stand and although I am sure they would have had no trouble filling my space I didn't want to go back on my word. Mick C deserved a trophy for his engine bay alone, but the rest of the car looked great too Chris and Rosy definately deserved their win regardless of who carried out the mods, as others have said very few people modify their own Subaru's as most of them would end up looking like they had been driven through Halfords window backwards It is also true that many cars in the show and shine had been professionally detailed before the event whereas every time I spotted Chris and Rosy they were cleaning or polishing. Take no notice of anyone else, there are many jealous people around, R9SY B is a true six star Subaru and a lot of time and effort goes into keeping it that way. As for the Orange car, it had only been painted the week before the show and the NBO was its first outing, the car had been prepared by Neil at Eclipse Motor Bodies who is a LADS member , he had also prepared two of the three winners in the modified classic section, his work and attention to detail is really first class but although the Orange car was prepared to a very high standard it certainly wasn't to my taste
The Orange one was finished around 11 pm on the Saturday night was worth a look at although not to everyones taste
The car was supposed to be on the Cumbrianscoobs stand but turned up late and was at the back of the stand the owner then moved it to the eclipse motors stand I think R9SYB & Mick C s cars looked awesome even better than the pictures i had seen on here previously .Good Stand graeme (TTS)2ND Place Stand
Well done folks, sorry we couldn't join you, would have looked a touch unsociable as we had booked the CADS stand but good to see you all
Yeah we both had a great day last year, it was our first WR1OC Meet and everyone gave us such a great welcome hope to see you all again this time - is there a stand again this year?? havent seen one registered yet???
