True. Should have got my Evo in white. Same for a scoob in fact. Blue is too common. And then, there was this limited series in some gay colour...

Quick question:
There seem to be a button in front and behind your gear stick - what are they?

Thanks for all the good comments fellas, the front of the two buttons is a light for the alarm, it flashes various colours, the rear is the keypad for the blackjax (sp) gadget. Just been out for a spin to make sure the restrictor has been removed, and yes it has !!!!!!, dont know how accurate the speedo is but it went above 150, revving quite high as the gearing is low.
cheers, Sumo.

It looks pretty low. Has it been lowered compared to a normal GT ?
Woza is right, the GT does not have AYC but a normal limited slip diff.
Also, the GT has a 5-speed gearbox whereas the FQ has a 6 speed. If I am not mistaken, I also thought the GT was slightly shorter geared.

I didn't expect that at all. I thought it was some in-joke about a lisp or some poor sod having some serious dental work. Thus, I thought 'fada' meant 'faster, and 'lospif' meant 'low speed'! I am humbly educated now

Yes it is lowered, it has some sort of ralliart coilover gadgets, the front is set as low as it can go, so low that I can't get a trolley jack under. I am sure it is shorter geared, the first four quite low with fifth quite a bit higher, running out of revs at about 160 at a guess.

Nice motor Sumo.
Good value for money the IX GT. Rare and loads of tuning potential. I believe the MLR had a white project car they were doing bit and pieces to, with write ups of it's progress in "Wastegate" the MLR magazine. 500bhp+ IIRC.
Is your turbo standard as I read somewhere that the magnesium blades (I think) can fracture.
