The screen freezes for a few secs then starts again when scrolling

Using the "back" mode takes you no where, so have to press WR1 forum index.

Use "view last post" and goes no where as above

So slow aswell !

They sound like browser/ISP issues to me:

- scrolling is 'after' the server has served the page and is within your browser thus any problems here are down to the browser

- what do you mean 'back mode' ? If this is the back button, then it is browser based issue again or if anything, it is your isp using a proxy server or cache

- speed .. not seen any evidence of this. Again my best bet would be that this is ISP related.

the first two issues I've experience when I've had spyware/adware, would defo recommend running something through to flush the crap out and try again, might also be worht trying firefox if you're using I.E, IMO a better browser

I always use Firefox and only resort to I.E. when it's absolutely necessary!

The server is running at on average 4.3% of capacity at the moment - hardly causing a bottleneck.

I dont see any speed issues at my end or at the server end.

have you tested your adsl service for its speed?

I have added a page generation time at the bottom of the page - this shows how long the server has taken to receive your request and then action it and send out a new page.

I hope you see the same 0.01xxxxxxx seconds that I see :D

page generated in 0.045647144317627 seconds

but it still took ages :?

ISP issues then.

I will double check the nameserver settings to rule that out.

Are you with AOL or NTL?

They are ISP's (Internet Service Provider)

as are (apparently) Orange

DNS settings sorted - this will take 12 hours to sort so tomorrow will be all ok.
