I agree,

But as pops is the most regular on here, and he is capable of deleting threads and posts by accident then im not sure he is the right man!

Gangsta would just be deleting any users that disagreed with him in the slightest

So who?

Unactioned admin requests as noted by Dan.
quicker deletion of spam users.
Someone for the existing moderators to turn too when they are making a right fook up of things

Should be someone who is on regular and reasonably switched on. Dan sounds good although i cant see how you can have admin rights without full moderators status?

we all have admin rights (moderators that is) .... as the log on for admin has been given to myself and joy.

Is there a problem then??

The site isn't big enough or active enough to warrant any more moderators or admin.

Ok ... when I get a spare 5 mins later I will delete all users that look spurious or have posted spam. Also some of the idiots that come on here to sell crap.

Re: unactioned requests. It might be best if you PM a moderator or email them as well as posting it in the problem page. I've actioned a number of requests recently as users have PM'd me directly.

Looking at it, although there are many names on the moderator's list, there are few active moderators. Brian, Jaycee and Dannyboy are not here very often. Smurf and Chris tend to come in periodically: sometimes they are very active, sometimes they are gone for a few weeks (assume that has to do with their agenda at work and home) and Pops has a job in shifts, so often misses a few days at the time.

With the second wave of WR1 owners coming up (quite a few people buying them second hand), our number of members is increasing more now than it did a year ago.
New members = more posts; but also more need for moderation as new members often need to be guided in how to use the different areas of the site.

We also increased the number of discussion forums on the site.

All made it much better, just quite a handfull to manage with 3 active moderators only.

I know in the past some 'unofficial' polls have been run whether more/different moderators were needed. Maybe an idea to organise a proper poll initiated by the senior moderator to see whether one or two more heads should be enrolled. (ideally when everyone is back from his/her holidays)

So far my 2 cent.

Up to Chris and his team to decide if any steps need to be taken.

Meanwhile :thumb: to Rob for taking the initiative to get rid of the spammers and canvassers.

Totally agree with Sandy, I dont think there's enough coverage on the admin/mod front for the number of members. There would be enough if they were active, but we all appreciate some guys are too busy to come on and look after this place.

Still think something need to be done, the fact that the recent polls were completely missed should highlight this

I would say P1woc is maybe 3 or so times bigger than this.

We have 6 'active' mods who are on every day without fail, 2 admin- 1 of which is regular and maybe 4 or 5 mods who do not frequent the site very often any more.

guys ... maybe 6 people post everyday. Of these posts maybe 0.0001% require moderation. For that we do not need regular moderators.

The point of the site was for people who are fed up with all the shit on scoobynet and other sites to have a safe haven. We shouldn't even need moderators because the ethos of the site is very different. Half of us don't even drive WR1s but the reason we come here is because it's a nice community which requires little or no moderation.

It is summer vacation season so lots of the guys are away. So I can only apologise for the spam and crap users that have slipped through the net. After tonight they will all be gone and the site will be clean.

The moderators we have are all that are required. If one of us was to leave or resign the post then we will take another in.
