Do we need any more forums?

Postby chris » Sun Apr 02, 2006 12:37 pm

I still think a calander of some kind would be good showing a month by month overview which could be edited by members would be a good idea.

Its ok having a events forum but trying to keep track of whats on and where is a pain.

I suggested this a while ago without much responce, maybee an outlook type of format?

I'm not too sure how we can do this on with the package we use. I'll have a think.

An area to for info on car cleaning would be good.

There seem to be quite a few enthusiasts here of polishing and waxing. (not the least me )

Use it for sharing experiences on products and combination of products, ask questionson how to get staines, scratchesetc out of the paintwork...

How about a Member's Garage where people can post photos of their vehicles along with a spec sheet and ask for advice/info on their particular car.
Its a kinda ongoing thing so would stay fresh and encourages none wr1 owners (i.e. most of us!!!) to join in without hi-jacking the site.

The best i can do on a calender would be to have 12 stickies in a new forum, one for each month.

Any good, or not worth it?

The calendar sounds exactly what I'd like. I spend all my time time-slicing a business calendar to do things I don't want to do, so it's horrible to think there's other calendar events I'd like to be part of, but I miss 'cos I miss some posts occasionally :tumble:

I'm trying to get in touch with someone who has a calender on their site to see if it can be done.

Update to follow.

Not too sure to be honest. I think it will be when the very nice man who pays for the site has chance to study the requests we've made and is able to find the fair bit of time the upgrades will take. :D
