Hi JWS,
Good idea, just trying to figure out how to do it though. I'm still trying to get the avatars to work with no joy yet.

Pictures, i am a great fan of Pictures.

Its easy to linke from another site for example

[img]then%20the%20whole%20web%20address%20of%20the%20pic%20here[/img]

easy,

Now we can have a uploader so you can upload pics from your own Pc. only problem with this is that the running costs of the site start shooting up.
To cover costs membership would have to be charged to join the WR1 Owners Club and to be able to post up pictures.

Any thoughts or input would be welcome.

Brian ... how much would it cost to get an uploader for the site (round figure) that everybody coming on here could have an access password for??

Ill ask Dannyboy as he sorted the one out for Scoobycity.

It can turn a 2 meg BBS like this one into a 50 meg one pretty quickly.
Which isnt a problem.

Ill ask him when he gets up mate.

Can't we just post links to photobucket.com?

I did concider an uploader for the forum but as Brian pointed out it would zap alot of extra bandwidth which at the moment is being funded by Scoobycity so I'm not too sure how we'd stand using extra funds.

The other thing to concider is the time and effort involved in adding it to the forum. Its a big job and I honestly don't have the time at the moment.

We can certainly look into some sort of membership scheme in the not too distant but for thr time being its probably best to join up to a site like photobucket, post your pics there and then put the address of the pic into your posts within image tags as shown below...

I like the sound of a (small!) membership fee to help fund a few extra things on the site.

Danny informs me it takes about a day to add teh uploader programme intergrated into the Forums.

Paid up members would be able to upload pictures to a certain upload limit of say 5 megs worth of pictures.

Should be able to get this one rolling as soon as he gets back from holiday :)
