Heavily modded P1 - Suburbs of Leicester 3pm ish Sun 22 AprIt seemed a little sluggish?
I was impressed with the speed of your car!
Yes i was leaving you, yes you got the slight jump on me, but having played with cars before of a similiar power to wieght ratio as yours, you did seem to fare very well indeed. Might be mine i suppose, but it was on the rollers a few weeks ago and was healthy. I did notice my rear brakes getting a bit grumbly though braking from high speed so i will have to look at them tonight. If JP is Roland Rat, them I am Errol the Hamster... His number 1 fan.
Fifth gear in the WR1 is particularly good and we didn't plant our feet until high in 4th gear because of the traffic. Good fun fella, did the job as Heather defo wants more power seeing you pull away. I shot past my junction too!
PMSL, yeah i know. thought you were going M1 south. I cant remember what gear i was in but the second i noticed you coming and your intentions i planted it. So i was maybe full on the gas for 5 seconds before you drew level with the back of my car. I was not sure if you throttled back to let me come into your lane a tad or you kept it nailed and mine started to leave you at that point? Was interesting though. Looking in my mirror (which tend to make it difficult to judge distances) it looked like i only pulled maybe 60/70 yards on you before i hit the brakes? Yes I let off the throttle to let you in as you could see that you were just starting to pull away. No fear fella, it was evident that the road was yours and I was running out of steam. You were never going to gain much distance given the traffic and the fact that we didn't let loose till high revs in 4th gear. In fairness these cars aren't about drag strip racing in my humble opinion...... My main concern is the shocking glare off your slap could be dangerous to other road users.
