Ok guys If there's dents in the bottom of the b pillar and the chassis arm then is it a write off?

Depends how big the dents are, if the chassis is twisted then maybe, but if it's just dents I can't see why it would be a write off

Anybody work for an insurance company?

Once the car structure is damaged surely it can't be touched for safety?
Plus now my cars been damaged surely the value will be a lot less? So I want it writing off?

My unofficial estimate what I can see is dented. Chassis. Dented b pillar. Chassis cover. Both doors. Front bumper popped all out. Rear wheel. Arch. Wishbone. Axle. And suspension.

Probably knackered then. My idea of dented is a stone chip, or when somebody catches your door with theirs. Bad luck. Or good luck, whichever! :?

dave's old car that was immaculate he couldn't stop polishing it! i'd say it had to be worth at the least 11.5k but whether the insurance think that is a different matter.
if you are looking to replace once the insurance is sorted i have a wr1 for sale one owner and 39k standard condition through out.

Pampered from day 1. It spent more time being waxed than driven.

Phone call just from garage. The claims upto 5k + vat and that's not including possible rear diff damage or the front bumper that about got ripped off getting it towed. :s

Sounds like a nice example there ;)

It still is. I've just dropped by at Autotecnia for a brew. If I had the garage space it would still be in my garage.

i'm asking £11495, which reflects on the condition. 8)
if you are having trouble with the insurance just hold firm until you are happy, see if they will pay you out and let you have the car back, i might do you a trade in on the damaged 1.

I settled on 10500 in the end. I didn't get a choice of breaking the car but I do have the set of mats which are beyond immaculate. Open to offers to anyone who wants them.
