Yeah why not, think it would look good. I like it when my wheels look darker when they're dirty.
I've got 2 sets of wheels & was thinking about going for a few shades darker when i got the older set refurbed.

You can always get them coated again if you didn't like them in the matt black.

My WR1 is currently sat downstairs in the garage with my old Cupra R 18" 5 spokes powder coated matt black (my PFF's are away to get powder coated).

They look ok but think the anthracite still looks better 8)

120 a wheel???

My mate Keith at PPS in Inverurie is powdercoating them and will probs be around £35/40 a wheel. I've had 2 or 3 sets done before and they come back like new, turn around is usually 2 or 3 days at most if they're not too busy 8)

I'll get some pics of the car sat in the garage when i get home from work tonight. My dad thinks it looks good with the black wheels but i think dark grey at most would be as far as i'd go....

As for detailing, what's that?

35-40 bucks a wheel is alot more like it,, i just had a look at your WR1 detailing post.. nice,,, are u refurbing the rims in the pics.. they look mint?? would be good to see some pics of ur wheels before and after the refurb. when i bought my 1 from subaru the rear wheels were refurbed but the detailing on the wheels ie the speedline inprint(outprint) looks very blotchy as if they blasted the live out of it.. do u have any problems with this??

As for the detailing how much would u charge to bring my 1 up to ur standard???

cheers

nooo not chavy. seen them on a few range rover sports they do look quiet nice. to be honest getting black wheels is a common thing where im from. i always liked white but i dont think they would suit a wr1
stick with the original 8)
