Why 450?

Have you driven a car with 450 bhp? More to the point, are you made of money?

There are some closer to 500bhp on standard internals and still going.

Greenwood Racing Develepments have broken the 500bhp mark on race fuel.

May try this on mine later this year.

Well I know to get to 400bhp costs around 6K... the extra 50bhp you want to get up to 450 costs a lot as you need to reinforce lots of internals to cope with it "reliably". obviously you will find cheaper solutions but the proper way to do it will cost... Chris B has the quickest WR1 at the moment which is something like 480-500bhp now...?

You don't need more BHP to go faster. I went plenty fast with my 270bhp STi a year ago. :?

Yep. Spot on :thumb: Max the driver before you max the engine. Of course, if your real name happens to be 'Max' in the first place then there's little option really

I agree with the "improve" the driver to an extent...

But if you want more performance then do it. At the end of the day we all have different abilities... My life has shown me that "mostly" those that shout about their driving prowess tend to be living in cloud cookcoo land... Whereas "some" people that don't think they are anything special can really put on a great performance.

Some people like to twat about on bends.... that is great if it is your driving style with matched ability. Others just like to open their cars up in straightlines.... Give me 500torque for straight a line rush anyday.....

straight line runs are fun, but more skill lies in managing to string together a set of corners.

I agree... but it isn't something that everyone is good at. You mod or don't mod your car to suit yourself... not to suit a wannabe Petter!!!
