Difference between 2.5" system and 3" system please?

Going for RCM but price difference aside, is the 3" louder/quiter/less restrictive??

Hmm, cheers Duncan. If we're just going for an exhaust system inc. decat and induction kit, mods wise, is it worth going for the 3" though, especially at £850 delivered?

Just wanted a lovely flat four burble and the quality that comes with an RCM system.

if you have the choice - there isnt a downside of 3 inch vs 2.5 inch - turbo's need less back pressure and the bigger the better for boost.

Mine sounds great with the 3 inch system. Dans does too

So there isnt a difference in sound? I'd have thought bigger bore = louder noise?
