my xmas pressie from the cats has arrived ....

A nice Perrin lightweight crank pulley :

Thanks puuuddies :)

The standard crank pulley weighs 2.5kgs

This weighs 550 grams so saves 2kgs over standard in rotating mass so should accelerate better. I am not sure whether I will be able to notice it but every little helps :D

I have now changed it having fought to undo the crank bolt .. the fekker :x so will give it a run out later on.

I have just weighed the std pulley and it is 3kgs :o

So 2.5 kgs saving ... nice :D

6061T6 aluminum, anodized black and laser etched for increased belt life and a precision fit.


Looks understated and being the same size as the original it wont have any underdriven problems.

it wont change the power the engine is producing but it will have a small impact on acceleration.

Thanks looks pretty easy to fit ..apart from the crank pully bolt .. 90lbs !

94lbs/ft is the tightening torque but it is a fek of a lot stiffer than that to undo :o

I used a long (ie 4ft) trolley jack handle and even then it was stiff !!
