They don't need bedding in, it's not you the HKS's are well known for making them run a bit funny.

I thought it sounded awful and it upset the engine running more than any other DV that I've tried.

Has anyone fitted a vta dump valve that doesn't affect the running of the car without a re-map?

try a GFB stealth FX
listed on our site... we run this on our WR1
and sold many for the newage imprezas - works a treat.
i prefer GFB bov over hks and blitz - especially on an Impreza

All VTA will have an impact on the running of the car. I'm not sure remapping is required though as the cars over fuel which shouldn't cause the same problems compared to under fueling... Someone else will comfirm this.

I have a dual port DV and the car does run smoother than on a complete VTA DV... however, it isn't as smooth as a OEM recirc DV

To confirm what Bro says......

It is simple...Any VTA will affect how your car runs for the worse to a certain degree, wether it's mapped or not.

If you desperately want one,you would be well advised to take advice from someone like Bro who has tried a few and understands that his car is not quite the same with one on. At least he can tell you that A fooks things up less than B or C.

Ignore advice from traders (of course the ones they sell are the best) and knacked classic owners or anyone under 22 years old (they insist that the car is faster and sounds great until they put the o.e one back on and the rose tinted goggles have gone|).
