RCMS Exhaust

Full system bob will need a remap as you know :wink:

so get the headers, up-pipe caik 350+ ....

Had another gift from Dave...Complete K/N induction kit....I also asked for headers but he says I will have to pay for them. I see I will have to work a bit harder on him... :lol:

Get your self a set of ported headers from Harvey and his up-pipe. If you keep your original heat shields, you'll only pay around

Get the RCM headers and up pipe they all go together,do things well you do things once.

I have a full 3" RCM system and downpipe fitted. They are expensive for sure but the quality really is second to none. Wether the extra quality on somrthing you do not see is worth the expense only the individual can decide......They do sound great but so do a lot of other exhausts.

Agree with Anders on the headers / up pipes. At standard turbo levels of power they will give you a relatively small amount of power but noticeably add a bit of lag. Only consider changing really when the o.e headers are becoming restrictive and that is over the 350 BHP mark. A good all round set up with a smallish turbo that does not overwhelm the o.e headers in terms of flow is to get them ported. You can only gain really.

What grade stainless steel are the exhausts made from?

I believe they're made from the highest grade mate, stainless steel pipework and flanges so that there's no gas flow restriction at all ?

The material will not affect flow in any way Dan, thats a function of the geometry, bends, bore etc.

The material is chosen for corrosion resistance, weldability, heating up and rapidly coling down properties, resistance to fatigue etc..etc.

Bro, i don't know what exact grade they are.
