Hi all, new to this site but not new to scoobies. my first was a Cataluyna in 97, then an RB5 in 99 and now this awesome machine. There's no other car to interest me!
Can anyone advise on the best mudflaps to fit.
Look forward to your replies.

..... scary like SUMO?

Black are for me.

Something ScoobyDan pointed out yesterday. The more expensive genuine STi flaps offer better underbody protection as they bend around the inner wheel arch. Basically the STi flaps are wider so as to protect the floor plate more? Does that make sense? One downside to the STi flaps, they don't hold there colour well.

The Scott Lowe ones are like the STI ones they go an extra 3-4 inches round the wheel arch. Heard that about the STI ones fading badly.

Yes as Bro said the STI ones seem to offer more protection as they are wider but they also cost

I complained to Prodrive about the flaps being turqoise after 10 months only.

Got a tw@t reply saying it said they would fade in the user manual.

Yes, it does ! But you only get to see that AFTER you shelled out 350 quid for 4 flaps !

Scott Lowe's flaps come from the same manufacturer and he had similar problems he said.

The manufacturer didn't treat the plastic against UV light.

They corrected the process and Scott Lowe said he had to replace his customer's flaps (and probably had to ask the manufacturer for refund afterwards) in order to keep his reputation.

Clearly Prodrive doesn't give a sh1t about their customers and they just keep supplying out of the old stock.

My Prodrive black flaps have stayed black. I recently had the rears replaced and they still match the fronts which have been on since the pre delivery inspection.

Weird. Well, you sure saw what state mine were in when they came off. You helped me getting them off even ! :thumb:

Shouldn't have bothered in fact. Don't see what I can do with them, unless someone needs brackets.
