a few mods

Just picked up some goodridge braided hoses today and some new mintex c tech brake fluid,one day i will have good brakes.
Also managed to get my hands on some dunlop ex touring car slicks for my next track day at oulton park :D :D :D

Are you still running the standard pads and disks?

the discs are standard but the pads are mintex 1166,just finished fitting the hoses and the brake fluid,the pedal feels much better now but the test will come on the track day :D

Does the WR1 have the same brakes as the STI or did they uprate them?

I think they are the same,there not bad but i thought they would be much better,my mate has a wrx ppp and he's had the prodrive brakes fitted and they are much better than the brembo's,but i think ive got the best from them now with decent pads,hose's and fluid.
I was very suprised that ive had to change the hose's and fluid,i mean were talking about a car with 320 bhp its hardly your normal road car :D

Do the mintex pads give off as much dust as the standard ones?

No i dont think they do now you mention it,they guy i mentioned with the prodrive grooved discs has a big problem with brake dust,i guess thats a down side of having grooves :(

Think they're circa 1300 if i was to upgrade i would defo go fro ap 6 pots not much more money and they are the dogs bo**ocks 8)

I guess prodrive were given a budget by IM and the brake convertion would have made the car too much.

I think if i was going to do mine i'd put the AP ones on.

id go for the tarox 10 Pots on the front and Tarox 6 posts on the rear .

Do any of the WRC teams use Tarox? Do any of the F1 teams? Nope they all use Alcon or AP. Make your own judgement based on that. In my view Tarox are styling accesories, AP and Alcon are proper kit.
