My question is whether the strutbrace really makes a difference.

Anybody felt a change in the handling ?

the STI8 doesnt need a strut brace due to the stiffness of the shell already, so purely cosmetic.

Thanks for the info.

I like having fun but you might have noticed that for my car, I wanna spend my next buck on something that makes a difference.

Except then the dumpvalve (although it's nice to scare old ladies )

Have a read of this thread. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.p ... ge=1&pp=20
It's a Q&A with Damian Harty from Prodrive. Post number 9 is of particular interest.

was told by Subaru/Prodrive at the autosport show earlier this year
to make the STi handle better use the lowering kit and front strut brace
and no need for the rear one as the back end is stiff enough
so i guess its purely cosmetic then :thumb:

Question is how much you can feel the effect of that strutbrace still on normal roads.
Tyres (type, condition, pressure), weather circumstances and driver skills might play a much bigger part.
