avoid the HKS ones as they are known for not filtering very well. the K&N ones are ok but are slightly oiled so not as maf friendly as a fully dry one.

the ones to go for are either the 'green' panel filter or the genuine STI one.

im no WR1 expert (have a P1) but i think im right in saying you have no cat in the centre pipe, just a resonator. if thats the case, you wont get any big performance advantage by changing it, just noise.

Out of interest, what is the "green" panel filter?

its a panel filter made by a company called green! avaliable from extreme scoobies IIRC. worked very well in a mag test a few months ago for filtration / power. BTW, dont expect big gains with a panel filter. 2 or 3 horses maybe.

If i had said green panel filter, Jimbo would be asking if they do pink ones as well.

Thanks. Did a search on the net. I've already changed to an STi panel filter and I'm happy with the results.
