Hi WR1 People. I have (After much deliberation) had my alloys acid dipped, refurbed and powder coated in Midnight Dark Pearl Blue. They look black at first glance but when the sun catches them you can just make out the dark pearl blue. Im really pleased with the results. I also had the hubs on the Discs Rubbed down and hammerited Black while the wheels were off. I just thought it would be a nice change from the norm. It goes great with the WR1 blue IMO. Sorry to the purists among you!
What do you think?

Im now need a mini cab to the kerb when I park anywhere!!

Thanks Chris. You can just make out the blue pearl in pic #4. Really pleased with the look just got to get an engine like yours now mate!! :lol:

Thanks, It was a company in Crawley. My mate has a body repairs shop and he took care of it all for me. Had a few scratches etc sorted at the same time. I can find out their name for you. They done a nice job on them. Think it was approx Â£60 a rim, Dipped, repaired, Powder coated, Balanced.

Yes the tyres come off, The rims are then acid dipped to remove all old paint, They then repair the alloy. Rim is then Powder coated (in colour of chioce) rather than sprayed as this is a tougher finish. They then refit the tyre and inflate/balance the rim. My mate is away for a few days so cant get the company name at mo. Will get it when he's back. :wink:

love it... like the contrast with darker wheels.

time to experiment with my winter boots then me thinks.

Does the wheel sealant stuff work just as well on powder coat than it does on paint?
